Macy's new line, Material Girl, debuted on August 3rd. The line, designed by Madonna who teamed up with her 13-year-old daughter, Lourdes, is a mix of bold, edgy, flirty, and fun pieces that are very versatile. The price range is in the $20's, so it's really not that bad. The clothing pieces range from bandeaus to jeans, skirts, and dresses. The line also features handbags and jewelry.

Gossip Girl Taylor Momsen is the face of Madonna's new line, showing off her heavy-eyeliner-ed eyes and her individual style. According to the Material Girl site, Taylor was chosen as the Material Girl face because "she embodies style, innovation, and self-confidence." Makes sense because she's an actress on a captivating TV teen drama and even has a band, The Pretty Reckless, that just recently signed a deal with Interscope Records. Not only does she sing and act, but she's also working on her modeling career. Being the face of the Material Girl line wasn't the only line she was the face of. There was New Look, a British fashion chain. Upcoming, Taylor will also be the model for John Galliano's unnamed new womens fragrance.

Not exactly a fan of her, but at 17, she's putting her footprints into the pavement and walking her own way towards her goals.

Though Material Girl has seemed to be doing well, it seems to have fallen into some mud Thursday. Madonna's fashion line has actually been sued by another California clothing company, L.A. Triumph. The other company has said that it's been marketing clothes under the "Material Girl" brand since 1997. L.A. Triumph is also asking for Madonna and her company to turn over all of the profits made from their label. Macy's has declined to comment and Madonna has yet to comment. Looks like we'll see how this goes in the coming weeks! But for now, you can enjoy her new line at Macy's!

eBay’s Fashion Vault Sale Ends in Two Days

eBay launched their "Fashion Vault" in November with heavy media attention from sites like Lucky Mag and NBC New York. eBay even opened up a pop up shop on west 57th street in NYC to promote Fashion Vault.

The Stunning AMA’s

Sunday night, the American Music Awards aired on national television.
Ranking up five awards such as: Artist of the Year, Favorite Female Country Artist, and Favorite Artist under Adult Contemporary, a surprised and ecstatic Taylor Swift accepted the awards via webcam.
Michael Jackson received four awards; Favorite Male Artist under Pop/Rock, Favorite Album for Number Ones, Favorite Male Artist under Soul/Rhythm and Blues, and Favorite Album under the same category.

Some craziness entered the show also. With performances by Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Green Day, and more, Adam Lambert's performance probably wow'ed the audience more than the others. Maybe not necessarily in a good way. His pre-announced "sexy" performance received mixed feelings to the crowd. Instead of sexy, it ended up being...surprising, you could say. Watch it here.

Another crazy was Rihanna's outfit during her performance at the AMA's. Don't get me wrong, I loved the performance and the song she chose. But her outfit? I'm not sure. She's known for taking huge fashion risks, which I admire, but with this one? Kind of looked like duct tape all around her body. See for yourself.

Actually, I take that back. It's not duct tape at all, but actually fabric. Hmm, well Rihanna knows how to take risks, and her choice of clothing is unique. Check out her performance here.

And then, we have Lady Gaga's...exquisite performance, combining two of her songs, Bad Romance and Speechless. She brought some crazy, breaking glass, setting the piano on fire... need I go on?Check it out.

One amazing performance, in my opinion anyways, was Timbaland's with Nelly Furtado and Soshy performing Morning After Dark.

And of course, Alicia Keys and Jay-Z woke up L.A. with Empire State of Mind (one of my favorite songs). Needless to say, I loved it. That's all.

Carrie Underwood had a full on hot performance. Her outfit, her beauty, the song she chose. Everything just collided together into wonder. See it for yourself. Paula Abdul proudly watched the former American Idol winner performing.

Other performances included Shakira's Give It Up to Me, Eminem and 50 Cent's Crack a Bottle and Forever, Daughtry's Life After You, and more.

Among the people atteding were Selena Gomez, Leona Lewis, Drake, Jeremih, The Black Eyed Peas, and many, many more.

I must also add that Shakira looked stunning at the AMA's.

Black Friday Frenzy

With Thanksgiving fast approaching, comes Black Friday. The craziest shopping day of the year, where people wake up at 3 am, or even earlier, to catch those wonderful sales across the country. From electronics to clothing to anything else you can think of.
But Black Friday this year has a twist. Unlike last year, or the year before, retailers are either opening up their doors on Thanksgiving Day or at midnight.
According to US News, most Wal-Mart stores are staying open all day on Thanksgiving as well as on Black Friday.

So here's some hours for Black Friday shopping in case you're interested, which of course you are.

Gap--opening at 9 am Thanksgiving day;
Banana Republic--opening at 11 am Thanksgiving
Old Navy--noon on Thanksgiving
Toy's-R-Us--opening at midnight before Black Friday. Giving away 250,000 free Crayola boxes with any purchase.
Victoria's Secret--"Pink Friday" specials starting at 5 am on Black Friday, and select stores opening at midnight.
Target--releasing their specials on November 25. They're having an "online-only" Thanksgiving Day sale.
Macy's--opening at 5 am on Black Friday. Offering specials on apparel, luggage, and jewelry from 5 am to 1pm. Also offering specials on November 28 from 8am to 1 pm.
Nordstrom's--opening at 7am on Black Friday
Urban Outfitters--Depending on your location, they will open anywhere from midnight on Black Friday to 9 am. I suggest you check out your location online
